Zero kicad-fork changes — all in the embind layer:
- pcbnew_embind.cpp: presence section — canvas wx Bind() triggers (motion/
leave/up/key/wheel) + COLLAB_LISTENER piggyback → post-settle selection
check (dedupe) → onSelection; throttled cursor emit via VIEW::ToWorld;
viewport push/pull (px-per-IU via the GAL matrix — GetScale() is the zoom
and sized the first cut's overlay nm-small); kicadCollabSetRemote renders
peers' cursors (cross + name) and selection bbox outlines into one
per-user-colored VIEW_OVERLAY (CallAfter+COROUTINE), never touching local
selection; PresenceStart/GetSelection/TestSelectFirst/TestClearSelection.
- kicad_editor_embind.cpp: merged-image dispatch (pcb-only until 0003).
- presence-kicad.ts: bindKicadPresence — routes emits into awareness (0001)
and pushes trailing-throttled peer snapshots into the wasm; wired from
WasmTool.startPresence (pcbnew-gated). +5 unit tests.
- tests/kicad/presence-pcbnew.spec.ts: 5 e2e — programmatic + real box-select
emit, throttled cursor, remote render with no-leak + pixel restore,
viewport unit band. Existing pcbnew-collab/items-bridge suites stay green.
Verified live: two tabs over partykit — peer cursor cross + label + selection
outline visible on the other tab's canvas.

their own; BroadcastChannel gets a sibling-channel relay via awareness-bc.ts)

deduped peers() roster, setCursor/setSelection for P2, pagehide fast removal
- PresenceRoster.tsx + WasmTool wiring: facepile chip next to SourceChip;
eeschema rebinds per active sheet (sheet-manager ActiveSheet now carries the

- new dep y-protocols; unit tests (presence.test.ts) + e2e
tests/web/presence-roster.spec.ts (two tabs, verified vs real partykit)

The merged kicad_editor bundle made the chooser's footprint side reachable
from a schematic session; this wires up the data:
- boot.ts/constants.ts: every kicad_editor frame seeds BOTH sym-lib-table and
fp-lib-table (+ placeholder files; a created user lib joins both lists) —
the eeschema frame used to write fp-lib-table empty, leaving the selector
dead. TOOL_LIB_KIND remains only the presync/primary-kind lever.
- publish-libs.ts + kicad-pretty.ts: publish fp-index.json per tag —
[name, uniquePadCount] per footprint (countUniquePads mirrors KiCad's
GetUniquePadCount(DO_NOT_INCLUDE_NPTH)); index-only top-up mode for
already-published immutable tags.
- source.ts/cdn-source.ts: new bridge op "index" (source-global, dispatched
before the lib-id parse) + LibsSource.getFpIndex; the CDN source fetches
<tag>/fp-index.json once (404 ⇒ null ⇒ C++ default-only fallback).
- dev-demo.mjs: --libs-local serves a local publish-libs layout same-origin
at /libs-cdn (mirrors --models-local).
- tests/web/eeschema-fp-selector.spec.ts: e2e — chooser opens in --frame=sch,
selector fills from ONE index crossing, clicking a row per-item-gets the
body and the cross-face GAL preview renders; adaptive for index-less
sources (asserts crash-free default-only selector).
Submodule bumps: kicad (index-backed filterFootprints + preview AsyncLoad
fix + modal-pump crash guard), wxwidgets (modal pump logs e.stack).

The closed API now membership-gates /parties/sync-room/* per request via
the session cookie and no longer puts a bearer token in sync-stack layer
descriptors. Pass a credentials:include fetch into SyncStack so live-layer
HTTP ops (manifest/bodies/put) carry the cookie; the realtime WebSocket
already gets it automatically (same-site handshake).

The example backend's reflected-origin + allow-credentials pairing is safe
solely because this server holds no ambient credentials by design (default
origin is the explicit :3048; '*' is an operator opt-in). Make that a stated
invariant so adding any auth here forces revisiting the wildcard mode.

Backends with real auth (session cookies) need credentials:'include' on the
editor's cross-origin fetches — ts-rest clients, project file bytes/upload,
drift keepalive, lib item GET/PUT, sync-stack resolve. Cookie-less setups are
unaffected (the thin identity headers still ride along and same-site Lax
cookies simply don't exist). CDN/static-gallery fetches stay credential-less
(wildcard CORS rejects credentialed requests). The example backend's CORS now
sends allow-credentials — origin reflection was already exact, so this only
lets browsers accept those responses.

Miss 08A: the binding stores wire-carried (lib_symbols …) definitions in
kdoc_libsymbols and prefixes them on apply wires — a joiner that never saw a
symbol adopts it WITH its definition (new e2e ysync-libsymbols.spec.ts).
Miss 08B: registerSaveHook gains onSavedText; WasmTool routes saved-file text
to syncLayoutToY (per sheet room via the manager's syncLayoutFromSave, or the
single-room doc) so title block / paper / setup edits converge instead of
drifting. Opt 12 (TS half): zod off the observer hot path (yToItemUnchecked),
children index built once per conversion. Opt 13: seed()'s adopt diffs the
editor snapshot against the doc view and applies only the doc-authoritative
difference — clean rebinds apply nothing, the adopt undo entry shrinks to the
real changed set. Opt 14 deliberately deferred (doc 18). All TS-side; no wasm
rebuild (the C++ blob/findLib sides already carried definitions).
Verified: shared 107, standalone 79 (+2 known pre-existing wasm-assets),
ysync e2e 21/21 chromium, collab regression 21/3-skip firefox.
Bumps: web/pcbjam-shared (lib_symbols channel + syncLayoutToY + opts).

All seven ysync-review bugs fixed and verified; every repro's expected-fail
marker removed (they now run as regression tests). Also fixes two bugs found
while verifying (doc 17 F5/F6): file-seeded Y bodies are re-upserted in the
editor's serialization (doc-16 F4 was an artifact of bug 01), and the
0008-era "asyncify-fragile envelope parse" was really wrapInBoardEnvelope
emitting display layer names — canonical LSET::Name() fixes track/via/zone
v2 applies; makeFromBlob now logs parse errors instead of swallowing them.
Verified: shared 98, standalone collab 37, ysync e2e 20/20 (chromium),
collab regression set 21 passed / 3 pre-existing skips (firefox).
Bumps: kicad (board_commit child-removal listener notification),
web/pcbjam-shared (slot prune + arbitrated seed).

The 2026-07-02 sync review (docs/features/ysync-review, ysync-review branch)
found 7 bugs and that the two-tab e2e only exercised the DEAD legacy scalar
wire. This lands plan doc 15 in full; results + empirical findings in doc 16.
- tests/collab/browser-entry-v2.ts (+build.mjs): the PRODUCTION v2 stack
bundled for e2e (connectKicadDoc + attachKicadCollab, kdoc_* keys), with
in-page renderActiveDoc/singleSeedRender/driftReport helpers and yjs forced
to ONE copy (the two web pnpm workspaces otherwise bundle two
instanceof-incompatible instances).
- tests/kicad/ysync-two-tab.spec.ts: pl_editor green baseline (A↔B edits,
ITEM-level drift silence) + divergent-uuid adopt; bug-01 pcb/ee fresh-room
repros (Chromium-only: two kicad_editor tabs exceed Firefox's per-process
wasm budget); bug-06 concurrent-seed race; bug-03 Y-half.
- tests/kicad/ysync-repros-{pcbnew,eeschema}.spec.ts: bugs 02/03/05 + the
bug-04 matrix (anchor-centred fp rotation, pad resize, endpoint drag,
symbol rotation, Value-field edit), each with green landed-preconditions;
the "local move emits" controls double as headless-emit probes — GREEN on
both tools, so every emit-dependent repro is a live test.fail.
- wasm/bindings: 7 local-edit test hooks via real commits
(CallAfter+COROUTINE) — TestRemoveItem/TestRotateItem (both tools,
dispatched in the merged image), TestSetPadSize/TestMoveEndpoint (pcbnew),
TestSetFieldText (eeschema).
- web/standalone ysync-repros.test.ts: bug-01 units (C++-faithful fake gating
emit on ensureBridge) + bug-07a/b (stale DOWN hook, real sheet-manager gap).
- web/pcbjam-shared bump: bug-03/06 unit repros.
Convention: every repro asserts the CORRECT behavior and is expected-fail
(test.fail/it.fails) naming its bug doc; a fix flips it to "unexpected pass",
forcing marker removal — the repro becomes the regression test. Every
expected failure verified (JSON reporter) to fail at its documented assert.
Suite state: 39 passed / 0 failed / 0 flaky / 5 skipped (2 firefox guards,
2 pre-existing legacy two-tab skips, 1 pre-existing roundtrip fixme).

The demo (demo.pcbjam.com) cross-posts the waitlist to the marketing site's
serverless endpoint. It targeted the apex pcbjam.com, which 308-redirects to
www on Vercel; a CORS preflight can't follow redirects, so the OPTIONS failed
("Redirect is not allowed for a preflight request") and the POST never landed.
Point the waitlist target at the canonical www host. www.pcbjam.com already
returns 204 with access-control-allow-origin: https://demo.pcbjam.com, so the
preflight passes. Landing/version-badge link stays on the apex.

Site: add the missing og/og-home.png (BaseLayout referenced it but the

Move OpenCASCADE out of the merged editor image into occ_service: a separate
emscripten module (-sASYNCIFY=0, MODULARIZE, in-container -Oz finalize, 2N+8
pre-warmed pthread pool) booted lazily in a dedicated Web Worker on the first
STEP export or STEP/IGES model parse. kicad_editor.wasm ~190 MB -> 130 MB;
sessions that never touch OCC never fetch its 57 MB. STEP export works in the
browser for the first time: the unchanged desktop dialog runs EXPORTER_STEP,
whose wasm shadow suspends into globalThis.occService and the export bytes go
straight to a browser download (never entering the editor heap). STEP/IGES 3D
models parse in the worker via the oce shadow (S3D WriteCache/ReadCache wire).
- wasm/occ-service/: service CMake target (hooked from the kicad fork's
top-level CMakeLists, wasm/editor pattern), embind entry
(occExport/occLoadModel), wxConfig pre-js.
- wasm/stubs/{exporter_step,oce_plugin}_stub.cpp: EM_ASYNC_JS worker bridges
(callee-shadowing; no caller #ifdefs).
- web/standalone: provider installed whenever the kicad_editor bundle boots
(cross-face safe); ONE shared worker-boot source occ-worker.js (vite ?raw;
the e2e stub reads the same file) — blob worker with locateFile absolutized
against the glue URL; export download-name guard.
- deps: OCC builds with RapidJSON so its glTF/GLB writer exists — pinned to
the vcpkg master snapshot 2025-02-26 (24b5e7a8b27f), the same code official
KiCad consumes via vcpkg.json's opencascade[rapidjson]; rapidjson's latest
tag (v1.1.0, 2016) is ill-formed under modern clang.
- tests: occ-export dialog e2e (lazy-fetch boundary + STEP download bytes),
occ-probe incl. a 9-format matrix (step/stpz/brep/xao/ply/stl/glb/u3d/pdf),
3d-viewer-models hard-asserts the worker parse; occ provider stub installed
ambiently by the kicad fixtures.
Validated against desktop kicad-cli 10.0.4: geometric exact equality (bbox
delta 0 um, volume delta 0.0000%) for STEP/GLB/STL/BREP/STPZ across three
boards and option sweeps — with desktop OCC 7.9 vs wasm OCC 7.8; PLY/XAO/PDF
structurally equal; U3D same-size (quantizer float LSBs differ). Full kicad
e2e green on Firefox and Chromium; standalone verified end to end (lazy fetch
only on the Export click; export.step 60,628 B ISO-10303-21; loadModel 700 KB
STEP -> 569 KB scenegraph cache).

ensureModelInMemfs memoized materialized refs in a Set<string> and, on a cache
hit, returned `${MODELS_3D_ROOT}/${ref}` — the ref's OWN path. But the wrl→step
fallback writes the body under the .step filename and returns that. So the first
ensure (prescan) wrote M.step and returned it, while the second ensure (the C++
viewer's PCBJAM_3D::EnsureModelFile lazy fallback) hit the early-return and got
back M.wrl — a file never written. KiCad then stat'd the missing .wrl
(S3D_CACHE::checkCache → GetModificationTime), so every component model on a
KiCad-6-vintage (all-.wrl) board failed with "Failed to retrieve file times for
'….wrl' (error 44)" and nothing rendered.
Fix: memoize ref → the ABSOLUTE path actually written (Set<string> →
Map<string, string>) and return that; doEnsure reuses an on-disk body via
analyzePath and records the real target. Regression test: a second ensure of a
.wrl ref returns the .step path, not the .wrl.
JS-only, no pcbnew rebuild. Only bit boards that reference .wrl (the CDN is
STEP-only from 10.x) AND double-ensure via prescan + lazy fallback — which is
why .step-ref boards worked.

All four editors (PCB / Footprint / Schematic / Symbol) are now runtime --frame
choices of a single kicad_editor.wasm (178 MB at -O1 vs 147+82 separate; shared
wx/common/boost linked once). One editor per page load, as before; frames pcb /
fpedit / sch / symedit.
- wasm/editor/: the merged executable target (single_top + both kiface library sets,
whole-archive pcbcommon) + the safety-net focus-walk Kiface() dispatch TU. Gated by
KICAD_WASM_MERGED_EDITOR (kicad submodule bump carries the fork side: per-engine
Kiface/getter binding + ODR renames + dual-kiface launcher).
- wasm/bindings/: per-editor collab entries renamed pcbCollab*/schCollab* (JS names
unchanged); duplicate kicadOpenFile/kicadCollabOnSave + shared-name registrations
guarded behind KICAD_MERGED_EMBIND; new kicad_editor_embind.cpp registers each
shared JS name once, dispatching on the live frame.
- Build: kicad_editor app (build wrapper, target case arms, 3-object embind compile
with the ABI-critical flags, STUB_APP=pcbnew); docker/build.sh "all" =
kicad_editor calculator pl_editor gerbview (pcbnew/eeschema stay as explicit debug
apps); scripts/kicad/audit-merged-symbols.sh = repeatable ODR-collision audit (run
on kicad bumps).
- Frontend: Bundle type (bundle ≠ tool); TOOL_BUNDLE maps all four editors to
kicad_editor; explicit --frame tokens for pcbnew (pcb) and eeschema (sch); publish
list = the 4 real bundles.
- Tests/CI: five harnesses load kicad_editor.js with explicit frame tokens;
PCBNEW_FAMILY_SPECS renamed BIG_MODULE_SPECS + the 8 eeschema-family specs (they
now boot the merged module — SpiderMonkey x86 CI OOM routing); frame-runtime spec
covers all four frames from the one bundle.
Validated so far: frame-runtime 4/4 (each frame boots with the right title, no
aborts, no duplicate embind registration); 24-spec merged-module regression green;
3D raytracer renders. Known pre-existing failure: 3d-viewer title-bar drag deadlock,
fixed on main by 7630c7e (2N+8 pthread pre-warm) — picked up by the follow-up rebase.

The footprint and symbol editors are no longer separate WASM bundles: the frontend loads the parent pcbnew/eeschema bundle and passes --frame=fpedit / --frame=symedit (TOOL_BUNDLE + TOOL_FRAME -> Module.arguments in boot). Drops the two duplicate build+deploy targets and their wrapper scripts + vestigial embind; adds low-level harnesses (footprint_editor.html, symbol_editor.html) and a runtime-frame spec. Bumps the kicad submodule to the runtime --frame launcher.
The frame-runtime spec is listed in PCBNEW_FAMILY_SPECS so CI routes it to the chromium-ci (V8) project — its footprint case boots the pcbnew module, which OOMs SpiderMonkey on x86 CI. Includes the editor-unification dossier (research docs 01-04 + the as-built implementation record 05).

- kicad-packages3D is STEP-only from the 10.x tags: ensureModelInMemfs
falls back from a missing .wrl to the same-stem .step, written and
answered under the .step path (the returned path's extension picks
the parsing plugin — no C++ awareness). Verified against the live
CDN with the gallery demo board (4/4 wrl refs served as step).
- upload-models-r2.sh: rclone/S3 bulk upload of a local publish layout
(wrangler-per-object can't move ~14k blobs); published 10.0.3 —
105 libs / 7,238 models, 3.4GB raw → 500MB brotli — to pcbjam-cdn.
- deploy-demo.yml MODELS_TAG=10.0.3 → build-demo --models-tag →
VITE_MODELS_MANIFEST_URL (matches LIB_TAG: model refs come from the
footprints at that release).

The emscripten glue's `var ENV = {};` never merged Module.ENV, so boot.ts's
Module.ENV.KICAD_TRACE was a silent no-op — and since environ_get on a pthread
proxies to the main thread, the app/UI thread's getenv read the (empty) main
ENV. Net: KICAD_TRACE never arrived and every KI_TRACE was a no-op.
scripts/common/patch-env-shim.mjs post-processes each generated <app>.js to
merge Module.ENV into ENV (idempotent; runtime no-op when unset), wired into
docker/build.sh's per-app host post-process next to the dyncall-shim inject.
Replaces a fragile manual glue edit re-applied after every build. Verified:
symbol-editor eager load now emits KI_TRACE_SYM_CHOOSER fatLoad timing.

Two pnpm workspaces (root globs pcbjam-shared; pcbjam/web has it too) each install yjs, so shared's collab code (kicad-y) and the app's yjs were two physical copies → a Y.Map rejects the other instance's Y types ('Unexpected content type'). resolve.dedupe:['yjs'] in vite + vitest forces a single copy. Not a test-only artifact: the same two copies bundle into the editor and would break collab on doc seed. Full standalone suite now 55/55 (was 47/55).

backend-example (open ref backend): USER_HEADER, scope on the project DTO, raw routes under /api/scopes/:scope, no-op reportDrift + DOM lib (was red on main → now typecheck-green). GPL web specs (tools-open, symbol/footprint-write-remote, global-setup-web): /p/demo/:tool/* → /:scope/projects/demo/(file | -/:tool), direct API fetches scoped + x-pcbjam-owner → x-pcbjam-user. Reference backend keeps lib type 'user' (cosmetic vs closed 'org').

cross-posting to the landing site's /api/waitlist (CORS + OPTIONS added there,

- Version badge gains a pcbjam.com landing-page link (VITE_LANDING_URL).
- Optional Plausible analytics from VITE_PLAUSIBLE_DOMAIN (off by default);
wired into build-demo + both deploy workflows via vars.PLAUSIBLE_DOMAIN.
- Opening a read-only gallery project auto-"moves to local": it forks into a
writable browser-local project at the same slug, shadowing the gallery row.
- Project + local-folder views use the same iconed tool launcher (ToolGrid)
and a navigable directory FileTree instead of a flat file list.
- Boot overlay shows real wasm download progress (Module.instantiateWasm +
streaming byte counter) and a "taking too long" state after 60s.
- Home Libraries section lists the active libs source (the read-only R2/CDN
set in the demo) with a name filter; useLibs now reads libsSourceConfig.

After the kicad fork was rebased onto KiCad 10.0.4, GetMajorMinorVersion() (and
thus PATHS::GetUserSettingsPath()'s version subdir) became "10.0", but the
standalone still seeded the global sym-lib-table / config under
~/.config/kicad/kicad/9.99/. The WASM read .../10.0/ and found nothing, so
LIBRARY_MANAGER loaded 0 symbol-table rows and the Add Symbol / Add Power
choosers came up empty ("0 items loaded") with no library list requests.
Aligning KICAD_VERSION_DIR with the build's version makes the chooser load all
222 CDN libraries (19,779 symbols) again. Verified in the local demo against live
R2 (libs/kicad/10.0.3). The footprint editor / pcbnew read the same dir, so this
fixes their libraries too.

scripts/deploy/dev-demo.mjs (+ `pnpm dev:demo`) is the dev sibling of
build-demo.mjs: it runs the standalone via `vite dev` in the no-backend demo
configuration so a local WASM build can be exercised against the live R2 CDN.
- libraries: live R2 CDN (VITE_LIBS_SOURCE=cdn, libs/kicad/<lib-tag>, default
10.0.3) — IDB-cached, read-only; the lazy/fat lib-load path
- projects: the read-only example gallery (deploy/demo/gallery.json → the same
"Demo Board") built locally via publish-content.mjs and served same-origin at
/content/<gallery-tag>/; --content-tag pins the live CDN gallery instead;
--no-gallery falls back to local-folder + IDB only
- no partykit (VITE_YJS_PROVIDER=broadcastchannel), no REST backend
(offline.invalid → local-folder loader), browser-local IDB projects
- WASM: local fresh build at /wasm (default) or --wasm r2
The generated gallery (public/content symlink, web/standalone/.demo-cdn) is
gitignored, mirroring the public/wasm dev symlink.

extract-libs.ts gains extractAllLibs(): enumerate EVERY <Lib>.kicad_symdir / <Lib>.pretty under the source dirs into in-memory self-contained bodies (reuses the curated path's parse + extends resolution). At KiCad 10.0.x symbols already ship the one-symbol-per-file .kicad_symdir layout, so no split needed.
publish-libs.ts (tsx): per lib, build a SyncManifest (sha256 per item) + encodeBundle, write libs/kicad/<libTag>/<lib>/{manifest,bundle} (immutable) + a top manifest.json listing every lib. Keyed by upstream KiCad lib tag, skip-if-exists (HEAD the top manifest; --force overrides) so it is decoupled from the app deploy. Local + r2 drivers via cdn-store.
Validated over web/backend/.cache: 8 libs / 2154 items; Device bundle decodes to 537 bodies, its /manifest matches the bundle, and symbol/R body hash matches its manifest entry (warm-sync diff stays empty). Same wire format cdn-source.test reads, so publish and client are pinned to one format.

Backendless, read-only LibsSource that serves the full default symbol+footprint set from versioned immutable CDN snapshots. Each lib is an r2-idb-sync static origin opened as a one-layer SyncStack (1 bundle cold, 0 fetches warm, IDB-cached, offline) — the layer descriptor is built locally from lib id + tag, no resolve endpoint in the loop.
Wired via VITE_LIBS_SOURCE=cdn + VITE_LIBS_MANIFEST_URL; build-demo gains --lib-tag (points the demo at libs/kicad/<tag>/manifest.json; omitted keeps offline static). Unit-tested against a fake CDN built with the real encodeBundle/sha256Hex codecs, pinning the publish format.
Next: publish-libs.mjs (C1.2) emits this format over the full set; CI keyed by lib tag (C1.3).

Mirrors the closed app: create a templated file then open it, so you always edit a real file that saves back.
- lib/new-file.ts: minimal valid KiCad templates (pcbnew/eeschema/pl_editor, from the e2e fixtures) + document-tool helpers.
- NewFileDialog: in-project mode (file name) and home mode (pick/create a browser-local project + file name); writes via the active source uploadFileBytes (local IDB or remote-rw backend), then opens by path.
- HomePage: a document tool from the grid (local store on) opens the dialog instead of booting a throwaway blank doc.
- ProjectView: project-centric New-file row (writable projects) + Save-a-copy-to-browser fork for read-only gallery projects (copies into editable IDB), alongside files/export.
Also replaces a stray NUL byte that had been written into idb-project-store.ts in place of a space (made the file parse as binary) with an explicit unicode escape for the key separator (NUL, sorts below every slug char so project key ranges cannot collide) and the range upper bound. Runtime behavior unchanged.

of a per-section header chip). Sections are now Open → Projects → Tools →
Libraries. Local rows keep open/export/rename/delete; remote rows just open.
LocalProjectsSection → ProjectsSection.
Source chips were too pale on the editor canvas — switch from translucent pastel
to solid fills with white text + an inset ring, so they read on any backdrop
(home, dark boot screen, light editor canvas).

Loading a folder now imports a COPY into a browser-local IndexedDB project with
its own /p/:slug URL (original disk files untouched): edits persist to IDB across
visits, and the project exports via Download .zip or per-file. Gated by
VITE_LOCAL_PROJECTS=idb (on for the demo; off keeps the File System Access
write-back flow), so it's configurable per deployment.
Modular, swappable project sources behind the shared ProjectSource interface,
each self-describing via a SourceDescriptor whose kind is shown verbatim in the
UI — "Local (this browser)", "Remote · read-only", "Remote · editable" — on the
home page, the project view, and inside the editor, so the user always knows
whether/how Save persists:
- remote → REST backend (remote-rw)
- static → CDN gallery (remote-ro), saves download
- local (new) → idbProjectStore, writable IDB store
A composite layers the local store over the configured remote/gallery source,
routing per slug so imported/saved projects and the gallery share one namespace.
New, dependency-free (matching sync-client's raw-IDB ethos):
- lib/idb-project-store.ts raw IndexedDB store + create/delete/rename/export
- lib/zip.ts store-only ZIP writer (verified via system unzip)
- lib/import-folder.ts FSA/webkitdirectory folder → in-memory bytes
- lib/project-source-shared.ts source descriptors + deterministic uuid
- components/SourceChip, components/LocalProjectsSection
Home lists local projects (open/export/rename/delete). Verified: typecheck,
project-source tests, prod build, and IDB key-range project isolation in-browser
(prefix-colliding slugs don't leak).

A small fixed bottom-right overlay (VersionBadge) shown app-wide — on the home
page AND inside the loaded editor — surfacing this build's release tag and a
link to the source. The tag links to the exact commit when known (the pcbjam
commit pins the kicad + wxwidgets submodule revisions → our GPLv3
corresponding-source pointer, mirroring site Footer's BUILD_SHA), else the tag's
release page, else the repo root.
build-demo.mjs injects VITE_APP_TAG / VITE_GIT_SHA / VITE_REPO_URL (new --repo
flag, defaults to github.com/emergence-engineering/pcbjam).

- drift-detect.ts: every-N-edits + beforeunload check via kicadSave* (no save-hook), reports drift
- WasmTool: start drift detection after collab; return collab handle; stop on cleanup
- fix uuid-less docs (pl_editor): use ydocHasState in maybeConnectDocSession + seed() so a 2nd tab materializes the room instead of refetching the stale file
- api: reportDrift + reportDriftBeacon (sendBeacon/keepalive)
- global.d.ts: FS.unlink
- bump web/pcbjam-shared pointer

The WASM tools boot + fetch lib items with no visible feedback, so a big tool
download looks like a freeze and a failed body fetch (e.g. a backend 404) looks
like nothing happened. Add a full-screen boot overlay that stays until the wx UI
has actually built (waitForWxUi, gated on wxElementRegistry — not just boot
resolve, which flashes a blank editor), a debounced spinner while an item is
being opened/saved, and an auto-dismissing error toast when a body can't be
loaded. Driven by events the libs bridge now dispatches (LIB_BUSY/LIB_ERROR).

Add a deep-linkable, reload-safe route /l/<libId>/<tool> (LibToolPage) that boots
the editor scoped to one backend library; the home page's lib chips become
anchors to it (full nav → clean Emscripten). Local lib FILES stay in-place
(bytes can't be URL-addressed).
Fix empty lib trees against a registry server: fileless/lib-scoped launches use
the placeholder projectId "local", which was sent as x-pcbjam-project — the
closed server then scoped its (0005 mirror) lib resolution to a non-existent
project and returned nothing. Suppress the project header for "local"; real
backend projects keep sending their uuid and keep project-scoped resolution.

Open a single library scoped to itself in its editor: a backend lib (HomePage
chip → scopedLibsSource) or a local .kicad_sym/.kicad_mod file (LocalProjectView
→ localFileLibsSource + a browser-side multi-symbol .kicad_sym parser). WasmTool
gains an optional libsSource override (transparent default). All via the existing
lib bridge — no MEMFS doc open, no fork changes.
Also fix a systemic editor boot failure: the build split the wx glue into
wx.js + wx-dom.js, but boot.ts only injected wx.js + <tool>.js. wx-dom.js defines
window.wxDomCreateControl (used by every tool to build its UI), so without it the
canvas rendered but no wx controls did (ReferenceError: wxDomCreateControl is not
defined). Inject wx-dom.js between wx.js and the tool, best-effort (older non-DOM
builds tolerated). Bump pcbjam-shared for LIB_EXTENSION_TOOL.

Rework HomePage into KiCad-launcher-style zones: local file-load, a Tools grid,
backend projects, and a backend libraries listing (useLibs over the shared
listLibs). The Tools grid shows all seven tools in KiCad's standalone order
(Schematic/Symbol/PCB/Footprint editors, Gerber Viewer, Calculator, Drawing
Sheet); clicking a tool or a library launches the editor with no project
(launchedTool → WasmTool slug=local) — file-less editors browse backend libs,
document editors open blank. Harden the web e2e global-setup to assert the
self-provisioned origin libs (Device, Resistor_SMD) are present, failing fast.

Port the KiCad symbol/footprint brace-scanner parsers + a combined extractor
into web/backend/src/extract/; ensure-example-libs blobless/sparse-clones a
curated KiCad 10.0.3 slice and extracts to a gitignored .libs/ on dev/start, so
a bare GPL clone has libraries with no closed repo present. libsConfig() defaults
LIBS_DIR to ./.libs. vite honors STANDALONE_PORT (strictPort) so a second editor
can run on :3049 alongside the closed stack.
